tips on choosing the right MLM opportunity

I am sure you have been approached numerous times to buy a product or join a business that would provide you with unlimited income potential. Yet, how do you know which one is really the one for you or will you really be successful at it?

Before I did any of this research, tried and failed at different network marketing opportunities, I honestly thought I could get rich quick thinking it would only take a few sales before I could start making any money. It was only after I spent thousands and took a few years off joining any mlm business that i developed criteria for joining a business. I made this list compiled from my trials and errors in this business that i finally became successful in this industry.

If you read any business books Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump are referenced in many of them. After I finally gave up on the thought that MLM would make me a millionaire there was a chapter in the book about residual income and finding the right company. I realized that it was not my lack of motivation, or lack of leadership that i failed in those businesses because I didn’t truly believe in the product.

Pick a company where YOU NEED the product. Chances are if you NEED the product someone else will to. Not just want the product like make up or vitamins, it should be something that is a necessity in life.

It should not break the bank to join the business. If it costs more that you can afford to join don’t bother! If you think the start up costs are too expensive they probably are, what would make you think someone else would pay the price. Besides, if you fail you will beating yourself up over it  so chose a company where the start up and administration costs are reasonable. If you are hesitant to spend the money so will everyone else.

Check the internet. There will always be negative content and feedback of people who think all MLM companies are a scam or have people who have joined and tried and failed and get upset and write all over the internet about it. The only place you can really check for a companys reputation is the Better business bureau they should have a grade of A+.  If you want to be a cut above the rest so should your company, if it grades A or a B it shouldn’t be good enough for you.

Inventory or service. If you are selling a product do you have to buy the product before you sell it? Or do you have to dish out your own money before you can collect from someone else. Is you product something that is offered cheaper at the grocery store. Or if you are offering a service, do you have to become certified? Some MLMs require that you take training in which you have to pay for to offer services to people. If you don’t have the time to attend weekly meetings, scheduled webinars, or the time to really succeed the way you want to then it’s not worth it.

You should not feel embarrassed to approach your family about the service or product. You should feel passionate enough about the product that you shouldn’t feel reluctant to tell people about it. I once joined an MLM company where I didn’t tell any of my friends or family about it due to fear of failure. Now I have a joined a business where I feel like I am doing an injustice if i don’t tell my friend or family about it.

If you can think of 10 people on the spot who may need the product or service you are as good as gold.

That is it for now people, check out my other hubs!! For those who think it isn’t possible or have anything negative to say. Eat my shorts!
